At the end of their state visit to Germany, the British King Charles III. and his wife Camilla are expected in Hamburg on Friday (12.30 p.m.). With a regular ICE train from Deutsche Bahn, the royal guests will first travel from Berlin Central Station to Dammtor station in the Hanseatic city, where, among other things, there will be a reception in the town hall and a tour of the harbour.

Hamburg’s Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) will welcome Charles and Camilla. In the afternoon, the program also includes a visit by the King to the St. Nikolai Memorial – a memorial to the victims of war and destruction in a church burned out in bombing raids during World War II. At the end of Charles and Camilla’s three-day state visit, there will also be a reception hosted by the British Embassy.

The British royal couple visited Berlin on Wednesday and Thursday. King Charles was the first monarch to give a speech in the Bundestag.
